Keep these people in your hearts and on your minds. 22 die and more missing in Tennessee after heavy rains and flooding.
Portland is at it again. Note the guy in the scooter at about the 47 second mark. Leave it to Portland to take the ADA to a whole new level with disabled friendly riots.

When bad weather does good things.
Oooops. Joe Scarborough, former politician and current talking head on MSNBC decided to lecture the author of an Op-ed in Sunday’s NY Times: “Please don’t embarrass yourself by comparing Afghanistan to Vietnam or the events of the past week to Saigon in 1975. Dear Lord.”
The Op-ed was written by an American named Viet Thanh Nguyen who was in Saigon when it fell. I think he has the bona fides to make the comparison. Oh, by the way, he is also a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist. Dear Lord, Scarborough should stay in the slow lane.
The Cult of the Shoe, I don’t get it. I blame Imelda.
From the White liberals at the Los Angeles Times: “‘Larry Elder is the Black face of white supremacy. You’ve been warned.’” My turn to imitate a MSNBC talking head - Dear Lord. (Forgot about this until I saw it again at the neoneocon).
Tony Blair, on our withdrawal from Afghanistan: It was done “in a manner that seems almost designed to parade our humiliation…” He has a lot more at the link, some of it I agree with, some I don’t, but the above quote is irrefutably accurate.
Stupid stuff you just can’t make up: President Biden to those fleeing hurricane/tropical storm Henri:
More stupid stuff you can’t make up. This time brought to you by the Speaker of the House, Pelosi who mandated everyone must wear masks in the House of Representatives:

Notice the the servers all have masks on, Pelosi and the guests…not so much. O.K. not at all.
The InstaPundit has a post up from a person who has quiet a bit of military experience. It’s short, but a very good analysis about Kabul. Sadly, I agree with him. You should read the whole thing, but the takeaway quote is: “I hope I’m wrong, but I think the cost of blundering by President Biden, Gen. Milley etal has yet to be fully reckoned.”
What can’t get worse, gets worse. NBC News obtained a U.S. State Department cable sent Saturday that reveals the feeling of betrayal among Afghani nationals who worked for the U.S. Embassy.
From the Babylon Bee on Afghanistan: “Biden Demands Whoever The President Is Take Full Responsibility For This Mess.”
