For those who don’t watch the news, there has been an ever escalating war of words between President Biden and Governor DeSantis. The flash point is Governor DeSantis’ refusal to fall in line with President Biden’s demands that Americans wear masks and other COVID related pronouncements. The fact that DeSantis is also becoming very popular among a large segment of the American public and will most likely run for president in 2024 is also stoking this flame. So far, by any objective measure, Governor DeSantis is winning this verbal war.

Answering “Governor who?” and getting some laughs might have seemed like a good idea at the time. Alas, a bit more forethought was in order given that the remark comes from a President who many believe has memory problems. As anyone with two functioning brain cells knew, the Florida Governor would reply. This time he took no prisoners:
