Two Americas
TWO AMERICAS
First, The “Coastal Elites” Who Mistakenly Believe They Define America. At present the poster boys and girls for this class are:
The coastal “elites” seek positions of leadership not to lead, but for the power, prestige, and perks those positions bestow upon them. They seek these positions not to benefit America or Americans, but for their own self-interests. In so doing their actions inevitably lead to crisis, some small, some big, but all bring shame and harm to the U.S.
Currently the President and the rest of these “elites” created an entirely avoidable catastrophe in Afghanistan that is going to have horrendous consequences. The Taliban have already begun summary executions of men and women; the advances the Afghanis have made over the last 20 years are lost; the possible resurgence of terrorist organizations operating out of Afghanistan is very real; our allies are questioning our leadership and resolve; our enemies are emboldened; and those countries that were on the fence must be thinking China and Russia are looking better and better.
Simply put, the current “costal elite” class lead by President Biden, Vice President Harris and their advisors have created a disaster of epic proportions. To paraphrase the words of Winston Churchill: Never have so few, brought so much danger and shame, to so many
Second, The Fly Over Class. They don’t seek positions of leadership for the position itself, but often find themselves thrust into that position to clean up the mess made by the “coastal elites.” Ask the Marines and solders from the 82nd Airborne currently in Kabul. Prestige is something they don’t think much about, and what power they have, they use to accomplish the goals they have been set - not to enrich themselves. As for the perks, yes they are nice but not necessary.
Many in the “Fly Over” class put themselves at risk for other Americans, and all too often pay for our freedom and security with their lives. If you think the saying “Freedom is not free” is just a cliché, then I invite you to visit one of our many national cemeteries. Some of those in this class are:
People in the “Fly Over” class are not only military and first responders, but are found in every walk of life. Debra Davis a/k/a “Auntie Debra” is a high school food service worker in San Diego who spends what money and time she has buying and preparing meals for the homeless. Alexandra “Alex” Scott was diagnosed with cancer before her first birthday. When she was 4 she opened a lemonade stand to help other children with cancer. She raised $2,000 that year. Word spread and children worldwide opened lemonade stands and donated the money to her charity. By age 8 her efforts had raised over $1 million to help children with cancer. Unfortunately, she lost her battle that year, yet she continues to give through the charity she founded - “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” which is going strong to this day.
I have to ask, with so many great people, how the hell did we end up with a President, Vice President, senior cabinet secretaries and generals whose incompetency created the greatest national disaster since the British burned the White House in 1814? To make matters worse, instead of taking responsibility for their incompetency and resigning, they are lying about what happened and is happening.
Perhaps it’s time to cast our votes based on the actions and achievements of those seeking them, not based on their rhetoric, talking points, and slick campaign ads.
Just saying
