I was looking around the internet today and came across some articles, photos, and twitter comments about Teddy Daniels - who is running for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 9th district. Here’s one of the photos I came across.
At first glance the most impressive thing about him is his neck, hell it is thicker than many trees. However, it turns out that is not the most impressive thing in this photo, take a look at his sign and then his lapel pin - the Purple Heart - awarded to those who were wounded in action. That is impressive. So I looked around a bit more.
Turns out Mr. Daniels attended (and played football for) West Virginia University and was a cop before joining the army. Then while recovering from his wounds, he started a transportation and security consulting company for the legal marijuana industry - which went public 8 months later.
Think about it - a former cop and wounded combat vet, who played Division I football, and then starts a company providing services to the legal marijuana industry in his spare time while recovering from his wounds. Regardless of which side of the political spectrum you fall on, or whether you agree with legalizing marijuana, you have to admit that this man’s accomplishments - not to mention his neck size - are impressive.
Then I found this this:
